The museum plans to have on display a small collection of aircraft to represent the “Cold War” era, and ideally types that were based at Bentwaters and Woodbridge.

However at this time it is very difficult for a private museum to obtain ex United States Air Force aircraft, due to the policy now in place, by the US government, so the collection will also include non US aircraft.

During October 2009 a Sepecat Jaguar joined the museum collection, and is currently undergoing reassembly and preservation treatments before going on display.

In February 2010 these aircraft were joined by a Jet Provost, which is on loan from Bentwaters Aviation Society member Allan Dewhurst, some photos of this aircraft arriving can be seen below.

On July 1st 2010, Hawker Hunter XE707, also joined the museum collection, and is currently displayed outside, dismantled, and will hopefully be reassembled over the coming weeks.

Full details of the museum’s aircraft can be found below, by clicking on the aircraft serial number full details of each aircraft can be found, please not that these are not all online as yet, but will be updated soon.

Please note that only aircraft listed as on display can be seen on normal museum open days, visit to see the aircraft under restoration are possible by prior arrangement, and on group visits if requested.
